Protecting the privacy of our merchants is a matter of great importance to MuniCommerce Merchant Services.  We want our merchant to understand what information we collect and how we use it. To provide our merchants with transaction processing services and related products, we may provide our partner processors with information provided to us in the course of our relationship with our merchant customers.

1. What information we collect, how and why:

- We gather your Business Information so we can:

  1. Analyze your current costs
  2. Provide you with a savings Quote

You send us your Information through to a secure dedicated electronic fax number, viewed by authorized employees only. At this stage in the processes, the Information will be stored at MuniCommerce's facility and won't be shared with any third party.

- After you decide to switch to MuniCommerce, we will need to gather additional information.  That information will be used to:

  1. Fill the Processor Application Form and send it to you for final signature
  2. Provide our partner processor with relevant Information in order for him to proceed to the underwriting of your account.
  3. Provide an efficient customer service
  4. Offer you other appropriate products and services

2. Confidentiality and Security:

Within MuniCommerce, we restrict access to your Personal and Business Information to those employees who need to know that information to provide services to you. We have established physical, technical and administrative security processes that are commensurate with the sensitivity of the information collected. All our Service Providers partners meet CISP and PCI compliance standards (required of all merchants and service providers that store, process, or transmit Visa and MasterCard cardholder data).

3. Retention of Information and inquiry rights:

We will retain your records for so long as the merchant is our customer.
You may make inquiries about your personal and business Information by calling us at (877) 729 6778. In addition, you may request that MuniCommerce correct any errors regarding your information, provided that you notify us in writing of such errors and provide us with a reasonable time to review and process your request. If your information is inaccurate, we will amend it. Requests should be sent to the address below.
